This installs QNova Client and the background service it needs, then opens the app — so it is ready to use straight away.
macOS will ask for your administrator password once. That one approval covers everything the installer sets up.
The only other approval comes later: the first time you connect to a gateway, macOS will ask you to allow the QNova VPN.
